“Traveling is like seeing a sound wave to me, it has a beginning and an end”. Chiara Luzzana is a sound designer, designing and creating the sound of some of the most important brands in the world. She creates music from the noise, composing visionary soundtracks, as those realized for the cities encountered in the course of the project “The Sound of City”.
Entrepreneur and sound engineer, she lives between Milan and the rest of the world and she considers every city as an immense musical instrument. «A city does not have to sound according to my personal taste, but I have to get inside, dive into it, as I can compose something that represents it thoroughly».
And you come up with discovering anything unexpected, traveling with her: «There are three things characterizing the sound of a city: its transportation thoroughfares (pullman, tram, cars), infrastructures and the presence of water».
The Passenger - A web series by Infra Journal
The Passenger is a collection of stories. A short logbook of travellers from different backgrounds, allowing us to investigate reality from different yet always incredibly close points of view. The leitmotif is travel, but the overall story is broken up into the many stories that we have collected in this video series, highlighting how movement and place are the harbingers of growth, change, encounters, influences. Life and professional experiences. Lots of stories with different voices, to explore, gain insights, understand and, at times, be inspired.
